WEDNESDAY FAN FICTION REPORT - 5/21/97

Hey guys!

Tonight we have a new story and a couple of updates.  Also, 
I don't usually mention poems but I'm making an exception in 
this report for Tim Wellman's new one called simply "WARM".  If

Now, for the stories...

GENERAL FICTION:

RITE OF PASSAGE (by Maureen McGowan) A wonderful tale featuring
a challenge for the bard of Potidea turned Amazon Queen.  During 
a visit with her sister Amazons, Gabrielle agrees to go through
the Rite of Passage - an Amazon coming-of-age ceremony which 
Xena agrees to assist in.  For most Amazons, it is a routine 
ceremony with little danger involved but then the Gabster is not
like most Amazons and trouble DOES tend to follow her.  This 
story is very much what we've come to expect from a McGowan
offering - excellently written with moments that are guaranteed 
to bring a smile to your face.

TIMES (by Brant Forseng) Chapter 9 is now available.  This is a 
wild crossover tale featuring Callisto and the gang from the
X-Files.  In this latest chapter the blonde warlord learns about
life in the modern world as she recuperates from some wounds.

ALTERNATIVE FICTION:

MIND'S EYE (by Lynka) Lynka has just released chapters 7-8 of this
intriguing alt. story which has Xena trying to protect Gabrielle
from a very frightening enemy...the Warrior Princess herself.  In 
these latest chapters an even greater threat is revealed.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with 
the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add 
a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby, 
depiciting them as more than just friends.
