SIMULACRUM by Wishes
Wishes takes a dab at script-writing with this latest offering,
producing a tale that would make one heck of an episode.  When 
Xena goes off to help an old friend, Gabrielle stays behind in 
a village where a fateful encounter awaits her with a face from
the past and a woman who has already touched her life without 
the bard ever knowing it.  This is a mystery story that weaves 
what has gone before with the intriguing possibilities of what
may be.  Another in the long line of winners by Wishes.

TIMES by Brant Forseng
Chapter 12 is now available.  This XWP/X-Files crossover story just 
keeps getting better and WILDER which each chapter.   The tale has
Callisto creating havoc in present-day Savannah, Georgia while 
agents Mulder and Scully investigate.  In this latest entry, Scully
and Callisto have a little - er - "altercation". ;-)  A FUN read!

ALTERNATIVE FICTION:

WHEN XENA CAME TO TOWN by WordWarior
This new tale from WordWarior is a departure from her usually dark, 
serious pieces - and an absolutely marvelous one at that!  It is a 
story told by a tiny aspiring bard who on a certain day finds herself
hiding with Digger, her best friend, when right before them their 
hero appears, the Warrior Princess, to fight the thugs threatening
their town.  Told from a child's perspective, this story has a tender
quality to it that is thoroughly endearing.  We get to see Xena and
"stick lady" through the eyes of innocence and the picture painted is
one guaranteed to warm your heart.  WordWarior has shown in previous 
stories an uncanny knack for creating unforgettable characters.  With
a nameless little girl, she once again exerts that skill in this new
offering.  The story has NO graphic scenes in it at all.  It is 
appropriate for all ages and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to every Xenite out 
there.

THE TESTAMENT by WordWarior
We get another gem by this brilliant author tonight - a poignant 
story about the Warrior Princess in the twilight of her years, 
remembering her life, dealing with the challenges of being a legend,
readying herself for the coming marriage of her granddaughter...and always
missing her beloved bard.  There are moments in this that will have you
grinning at the old warrior's tendency toward mischief...and others that 
will pull at your heart in remembrance of what was.  Beautiful and 
stirring.  MAJOR kleenex alert but a MUST READ!

A mischievous little vignette from another of our most talented bards,
that has Gabrielle turning playful on the Warrior Princess just as
Xena finds herself in need of a towel... ;-)  Naughty and Cute.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with
the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add
a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby,
depicting them as more than just friends.
