**GAMES WITHIN GAMES by Chakram-1 -- [Alt]
A new name in XWP fanfic makes an impressive debut on the Web with a terrific new tale of adventure, intrigue and romance. As the story begins, Xena and the Gabster are on their way to a bard competition, when they learn of an impending attack by raiders. Hoping to warn the local king, the two take a detour to the capital - only to walk into a web of intrigue that will wrap around them both endangering their lives and the happiness they've so recently found. Chakram-1 has a delightful writing style with an almost medieval feel that contributes to the story's atmosphere. The treatment of the Xena/Gab relationship is intensely satisfying, depicting two partners that love and treasure one another deeply. Already a great read, this one shows fantastic promise. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! [unfinished] - 7 pgs., 10/1/98

LEVIATHAN by Chakram-1 -- [Alt]
On a journey to visit Gabrielle's cousin, the bard and the Warrior Princess finally find the courage to admit their feelings for one another but have not even gotten the chance to voice these before the ship they're in is attacked. Well-written with some good action this is one to keep an eye on in the weeks ahead. [unfinished] - 6 pgs., 10/31/98
