**DEUS EX GABRIELLE by Chris M. -- [Alt]
A delightfully entertaining new offering that finds the Bard of Poteidaia in a difficult predicament after Apollo kidnaps her and she unknowingly eats a little too much ambrosia. The new goddess then embarks on a quest to find someone willing to take her godhood away so she can return to the mortal who owns her heart. Some hysterical moments in this as the bard turned goddess leaves her mark all over Olympus :) Very well written and very cute! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [unfinished] - 32 pgs., 9/4/98

MORNING AFTER "A DAY IN THE LIFE" (THE) by Chris M -- [Alt]
A devious exercise in subtext, this new offering from Chris gives new meaning to that famous inquiry from the episode A DAY IN THE LIFE when a frustrated bard demanded to know whether they could cook with Xena's juices. Well...they certainly do some cooking in this tale and the flavors as the bard soon discovers, are more than enticing ;-) Cute! - 4 pgs., 3/17/99

NIGHT AFTER "THE QUEST" (THE) by Chris M. -- [Alt]
Set during an evening of celebration after Xena's return in THE QUEST, this wicked little tale has a VERY frustrated King of Thieves trying to find some company for the night and getting instead a friendly lecture from the Amazon Queen on one of her favorite pastimes...exploring caves >:) Big grin alert on this one and get ready to feel some sympathy for poor Auto - he needs it in this! Cute. - 6 pgs., 4/12/99

TALE OF FLOPSY COTTONTAIL (THE) by Chris M.
A dark, scary Halloween tale about a...wabbit? Well, yeah - but trust me - this ain't no Bugs Bunny we're talking about here! This is the story of an innocent little rabbit named Flopsy and how she decides on a diet change after an encounter with a rather tasty young bard ;-) Cute! - 4 pgs.

VERY SPECIAL MOMENT IN THE LIFE (A) by Chris M. - [Alt]
The bard has that not-so-fresh feeling and it's up to the warrior to reassure her ;-) BIG grin alert on this little tale certain to feel just a tad familiar to many of us. DO NOT MISS! - 4 pgs., 7/4/99

**WHIFF OF BRIMSTONE (A) by Chris M. -- [Alt]
A crossover story featuring characters from XENA and the recent FOX TV series BRIMSTONE as well as references to a number of other current TV shows, this little tale should put a grin on fans of popular television. Part of the BLOOD AND ROSES Altaverse series> which has Gabrielle as the immortal daughter of Bacchus and Xena as the immortal child of Ares, the story begins with Gabrielle on her way to Sunnydale to interview for a teaching job at the High School there when she runs into a mysterious figure at the airport - a woman with a distinct scent and a dark purpose Gabrielle is compelled to learn more about. Her efforts soon reveal the woman as one of 113 souls recently escaped from the bowels of Hell and determined now to make humanity pay for turning its back on the gods that once gave her power. Thinking that she needs to interfere with the vengeful soul's plans, Gabrielle is about to do that when she finds herself face to face with yet another mysterious figure - a stylish man with longish hair who assures the ancient bard that he has matters well in hand then proceeds to introduce himself...as Lucifer. Chris does a wonderful job of merging the worlds of XENA and BRIMSTONE, capturing the essence of the characters and excelling in particular with the characterization of that wicked but disarmingly charming devil from BRIMSTONE. With the references to other TV and historical personalities this should be a fun read even for those who didn't follow the BRIMSTONE TV series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 16 pgs., 4/2/99
