PHOENIX AND THE FLAME (THE) by PatR -- [Alt]
This is a long Mel/Janice story that has the archeologist traveling to New Orleans where Mel is trying to decide what to do with the house she's inherited from her uncle. Amidst the familiar setting, Mel finds herself sharing some painful memories - memories of feeling different, feeling rejected, feeling lost and finding only cruelty in those around her. The revelation opens the way for a new intimacy between the two friends just as some of those old ghosts come back to haunt the beautiful Southerner. This story features a very different interpretation of the Mel character and a nice depiction of the relationship. A great read! - 71 pgs., 1/15/98 http://www.sonic.net/LightStreams/AAfanfic/phoenix.html
20 WAYS TO GET RID OF JOXER by PatR -- [Alt]
Hilarious series of vignettes for those of us who don't have a sympathetic bone in our bodies for Joxer ;-) - 34 pgs., 5/26/97

WHO'S WHO? by PatR -- [Alt]
A new, LONG story that at times will leave you a bit confused but then it's supposed to...I think ;-) If you like Xena/Gab lookalikes this is *THE* story for you. They're coming out of the woodworks in this - Mel and Janice, a new pair named Carmen and Katie and of course, the originals - all banding together to try to rid the world of a dangerous evil once and for all. Very different fare. - 104 pgs., 9/28/97
