**HEART OF A WARLORD by Patricia L. Ennis - [Alt]
This is one of the first alt. stories I ever read and it's a wonderful one at that. It is, in fact, a very passionate first time tale that has Xena and Gabrielle struggling to understand the feelings between them just as an Amazon warlord comes into the picture to threaten everything. Patricia is among the founding bards in the XWP alt. fiction movement and she remains among the best writers on the Net, a favorite with readers and fellow bards alike. HEART OF A WARLORD is a must read which I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! - 120 pgs., 4/12/97

**LIFE FROM DEATH by Patricia L. Ennis -- [Alt]
A "first time" story which takes place after the events in the episode IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE. Very emotional, poignant, beautiful tale that has Xena and Gabrielle both desperately searching for a way to break the curse preventing them from being completely happy in their new relationship. This is a classic of Xena alt. fiction. One of the first stories to inspire many of the top bards working today. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! - 44 pgs., 1996

**PAST IMPERFECT by Patricia L. Ennis - [Alt]
This veteran talent returns after a long hiatus with the first three chapters of an intriguing new tale. It begins innocently enough with the Warrior Princess and her bard on their way to help an old friend of Xena's - it is a journey neither will complete as Gabrielle soon finds herself in the middle of a nightmare - a nightmare in which she's very much alone and the family she once loved along with her childhood home are long gone - destroyed by the armies of a warlord...named Xena. One of the founders of Xena alt. fiction, Patricia shows once again her skills at storytelling in a tale that immediately draws you in and leaves you desperately wanting more of those chapters! This one is looking good folks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [unfinished]. - 46 pgs., 4/20/98
