CYBEREPIC by Redhawk -- [Alt]
This talented bard's second uber-Xena story is a Cyberpunk tale set in the 21st century in a North America torn by war. As the conflict rages on between the government and the power-hungry corporations, the last surviving members of the Red Wolves Clan struggle to survive, seeking vengeance on those who've harmed them and placing all their hopes on the shoulders of their enigmatic, fearless leader. Not suspecting the danger she's about to head into, Canadian Shannon Elias accepts a job as a courier - embarking on a mission that will take her into the heart of the conflict...and to a meeting with destiny. Redhawk's fiction is well-written, with an intriguing plot that successfully merges cyberpunk with uber-Xena. The uber-characters are original while recalling familiar elements of Xena and Gabrielle. Entertaining, well-crafted tale. - 89 pgs., 7/23/98

**ONLY ONE by Redhawk -- [Alt]
This is a fantastic HIGHLANDER/XWP crossover story set in the modern world has the one-time Warrior Princess, now a deadly immortal, getting the shock of her life when she sees a familiar face lost to her centuries before. Rickie Gardner is a young runaway used to surviving amidst the danger and cruelty of the streets but when she witnesses a murder she becomes a target in a way she's never been before. Her one hope of survival now rests in a tall, dark stranger whose presence somehow calls to her and whose face she sees in dreams. Redhawk gives a poignancy and fire to the evolving romance in this story that makes it intriguing and beautiful and emotional all at once. The tale makes great use of flashbacks in much the same way the HIGHLANDER TV series used to. Suspenseful, action-packed and well-written, this is a MUST READ just as a XWP story but should be particularly entertaining for fans of both series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! [Note: The story features extreme violence including sexual violence and rough language. Please make sure to read the disclaimers. Also see the sequel OKTOBERFEST and the INFINITY SERIES for similar tales]] - 114 pgs., 5/24/98

WARLORD METAL by Redhawk -- [Alt]
Redhawk continues a tradition of original, well-written uber fanfic with a new tale set in the world of Heavy Metal music where teenager Sonny Middlestead soon finds herself drawn to the new singer for her brother's band - a troubled young woman with striking green eyes who comes from the streets and is carrying more emotional baggage than Sonny could ever suspect. Blurring the lines between the Xena/Gab uber archetypes, this is a fascinating read. - 294 pgs., 1/5/99
