ALWAYS, GABRIELLE by Verrath
This poignant addition to the TELL ME SERIES serves as a companion piece for the 4th entry in the series REMEMBER WHEN, GABRIELLE. Set in the girls' adult years, the story finds author Lana Bachman worried about her friend Sina who's been gone for days from the home they now share. Determined to find her friend, Lana will uncover other surprises in the form of a very familiar little girl whose very presence will give her a greater understanding of what happened to her friend during those lost years they were separated. This is a solid addition to the series which helps develop the adult incarnations of our mischievous twosome. - 17 pgs., 6/25/01

HARD-HEADED HOUND (A) by Verrath
Sina and Little Gabrielle learn about the power of flying circular objects in taming dangerous canine beasts in this delightful 12th entry in the TELL ME SERIES. As usual Verrath outdoes herself in presenting these dire situations through a child's view. Very cute. - 3 pgs., 1/15/01

**HEART OF A LEOPARD (THE) by Verrath
With the growing popularity of uber fanfic, Xenite bards have increasingly been trying to incorporate the Xena myth into stories set in other places and times. The best uber tales manage to give an original spin to that familiar story of the warrior while staying true to the realities of the different uber worlds they're set in. Verrath latest is a TERRIFIC example of how a fresh approach can completely captivate the imagination by taking elements of that more familiar story and cleverly blending them into a VERY different world. HEART OF A LEOPARD is the story of an unlikely friendship set amidst the harsh beauty and unforgiving cruelty of the wild jungle. Men have come there intent on hunting for leopards. Raised among those men since she was a cub, Ginelle is innocent in the ways of the jungle but she senses that they plan on using her as bait to draw in the male leopards nearby and it's a plan she does not want to be a part of. Unbeknownst to the hunters, they are themselves being hunted by a dark, prowling, living nightmare whose hatred of man is perhaps second only to her hatred for the pampered slave cats they keep. Blood will soon coat the jungle floor as two lives are inexplicably changed and to ancient souls stir in recognition. Verrath does a fantastic job here of imbuing the uber characters with familiar characteristics while VERY cleverly drawing them as believable components of the uber world they live in. Sweet, suspenseful, colorful, funny and emotional this one is gonna have us anxiously waiting for those updates in the weeks ahead. Great work. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 97 pgs., 4/27/99

In this 10th installment in the Verrath's charming TELL ME SERIES a new girl moves into the neighborhood prompting Gabby to start imagining stories about her brave, noble past as a warrior queen but a distrustful Sina immediately suspects that the newcomer may not be as noble as her younger friend assumes. PILLOW TALK by Verrath

REMEMBER WHEN, GABRIELLE by Verrath
The fourth entry in the TELL ME SERIES, this tale takes the series in a poignant and surprising direction. Set many years after the previous three stories, this one finds little Gabby all grown up - a well-known author now using the name Lana Bachman - on her way back to her hometown in hopes of finding there the treasured friend she left behind. Last she heard of Sina, the always adventurous and action- loving young woman had become an accomplished police officer, embracing the very force for order one mischievous little troublemaker had once so disdained. Years have passed, however, and times have changed - people too - something Lana is about to learn first hand. This is a poignant change in the series which could lead it in an intriguing direction. DO NOT MISS! - 6 pgs., 4/14/99

RUN, ALICE, RUN by Verrath
Sina and Gabby brave the horrors of a dark, mysterious pathway in this new addition to the TELL ME SERIES much to the amusement of Alice Parker who insists on ridiculing the two friends...until she has her own encounter with the gloomy "Walk of the Wight". TIRED by Verrath -- [Alt]
I have no idea why I'm putting this story in the alt. category and I want no e-mail asking me about it so be warned ;-) It just WANTED to go in this section. It's a story about a Beamer, a Roadster, puddles of...er...hot oil and love on the road :) Featuring guest appearances from Verrath's other popular fanfic creations - Gabby from the TELL ME SERIES and a certain feline pair from THE HEART OF A LEOPARD this is probably a bit extreme even for the uber genre but just TOO cute for words :) DO NOT MISS! - 3 pgs., 5/7/99

**WARDROBE WARRIOR by Verrath
This newest addition to Verrath's TELL ME SERIES will be a particular treat for C.S. Lewis fans as Sina and Little Gabrielle discover the magical world of the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA - Little Gabrielle through her first reading of Lewis' classic tale, and Sina through a wild encounter with an old wardrobe and one VERY vivid imagination. It's impossible to keep a grin off one's face while reading this. Verrath's little uber darlings perfectly capture the essence of their ancient ancestors while displaying as well that sense of wonder and magic the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA have been inspiring in children for decades. DO NOT MISS! - 10 pgs., 2/9/01

**WARRIOR, THE WITCH AND THE NIGHTMARE (THE) by Verrath - [Alt]
A SPECTACULAR adventure-thriller, Verrath latest is a lengthy, thoroughly engrossing tale which begins on Mount Olympus where the gods are very concerned about an unexpected presence in the mortal realm. Meanwhile, on Earth, Xena and Gabrielle are busy saving a mysterious stranger - a woman accused of being a witch who inspires something in Xena the warrior is not used to feeling...fear. Before long the warrior's instincts prove correct as she embarks on a desperate quest to find her beloved partner, ultimately making a deal with a goddess whose unusual aid will challenge warrior and bard as they've never been challenged before. Verrath delivers here a remarkably entertaining story with a well-conceived, solidly paced, suspenseful plot. The characterizations are terrific all-around with the fiercely determined, emotionally reserved warrior contrasting beautifully with the more open, sensitive bard. In an ironic twist, the villain though impressively evil acts also as the conduit through which the love story is developed. A page-turner if I've ever read one, this is a MUST READ certain to satisfy that fanfic craving. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 100 pgs., 11/19/00
http://verrath.de/switch/aswitch1.htm

WE GOT HIM, GABRIELLE by Verrath
Verrath's adorable TELL ME SERIES continues as those two mischiveous trouble makers, Sina and Gabby, sneak into the study to watch a gruesome horror movie and then must combine forces to defeat the horrible creature in their room. TOO cute for words :) DO NOT MISS! - 6 pgs., 5/26/99
http://verrath.de/tellme/wegothim.htm

WHAT'S WITH THE SUN GABRIELLE by Verrath
Sort off the LITTLE RASCALS meets XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS, this third entry in the TELL ME SERIES, has Sina, Gabby and their friends joining forces to try to determine what's happened to the sun when it looks like something...is eating it! Another fun addition to an adorable uber series. - 5 pgs., 4/15/99
