ALL THE COLORS OF THE WORLD by Vivian Darkbloom -- [Alt]
Original and well-written, this Mel/Janice story has the Southerner and archeologist seeing each other for the first time after their initial meeting in Macedonia. Joining forces again to work on translating a newly discovered scroll, the two women begin uncovering also their feelings for one another but it is the warrior and bard from an Ancient time that will show them how to take a chance on love. DO NOT MISS! - 68 pgs., 1/28/98

**I'VE BEEN TO POCATELLO, BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN TO ME by Vivian Darkbloom -- [Alt]
An uber tribute (of sorts ;-) to seasons 3-4, Vivan's latest entry in the shamelessly decadent WHITE TRASH SERIES should carry a health warning marking it as EXTREMELY hazardous for your funny bone. In fact, I can guarantee many a funny bone is going to be overstimulated after this latest encounter with the trials and tribulations of Zina the fire fighter and her junk-food-loving poet Gabrielle. Starting with a hilarious and inevitable confrontation between the spunky (if somewhat dense) poet and their ever-so-righteous arch-enemy Callie, the story has Zina reuniting with her old love Boris, the Russian chess player, devising a plan to repay an old... debt...and almost losing her beloved poet to a lascivious exotic dancer named Natalie. With supporting appearances from Zina's pot-loving progenitor, a wise friend from the East and an assortment of other colorful personalities this story makes plodding through seasons 3-4 worth the effort just so you can enjoy the product of one highly skilled and thoroughly depraved bardic mind. So much fun it should probably be declared a sin, Vivian's latest is a MUST READ! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 26 pgs., 3/25/99

**LOVE AND DEATH IN THE TRAILER PARK by Vivian Darkbloom -- [Alt]
Just when you think you've read every type of XWP fan fiction someone could come up with comes along a HYSTERICAL little gem like this to prove you wrong. Simply put this uber Xena story is the stuff television TALK shows are made off! Original does not even come close to describing this tale which has a young factory worker stuck in dead-end existence living a life suitable for discussion on Jerry Springer, when a dark, beautiful stranger sparks a fire within her ;-) Contemporary to the extreme, this is very atmospheric, cute, clever, funny and just a real hoot!! A MUST READ guaranteed to plaster a big ol' grin on your face! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [Note: story features rough language...actually, the story *IS* rough language ;-) ] [See the sequel WAYS TO BE WICKED] - 17 pgs., 5/9/98

**MAYONNAISE AND ITS DISCONTENTS by Vivian Darkbloom -- [Alt]
The best WHITE TRASH series in Xena fanfic continues - actually it's the only white trash series in Xena fanfic but I digress ;-) Vivan made history some months ago with the release of her now classic LOVE AND DEATH IN THE TRAILER PARK which introduced some of the...er...well, trashiest uber representations of X&G ever! The story of firefighter Zina and her sexy poet Gabrielle continued in WAYS TO BE WICKED as the two conquered a couple of old enemies turned religious fanatics. In this new installment the two decide to use some of Zina's vacation time to go see old friends which of course is easier said than done as the two have to first revisit Zina's wild and woolly past to try to correct an old wrong and then have to face the horrifying prospect of life on the road...with country music on the radio! >:) In this series Vivian has taken the uber archetype in a WHOLE new direction - one which is fresh (literally :), entertaining and just a RIOT folks!!! DO NOT MISS! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [See the sequel I'VE BEEN TO POCATELLO, BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN TO ME] - 23 pgs., 9/21/98

**REQUIEM FOR A BITCH by Vivian Darkbloom - [Alt]
The WHITE TRASH SERIES becomes trashier and even more hysterical with this VERY unique uber tribute to seasons 3-4 as Gabrielle connects with the town's resident hippy, the poet's parents learn more about her love life with Zina than they ever wanted to know, and a new girl arrives in town with a familiar-looking face and a score to settle. Proving that soulmates can be trashy too, Vivian continues to give our funny bones a workout with some of the most original and clever writing in fanfic. Her characters are not only hilariously outlandish but at times, disturbingly familiar too ;-) This is a delightful new treat from one of the most gifted authors I've come across. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 23 pgs., 12/15/99

**STARS FELL DOWN (THE) by Vivian Darkbloom -- [Alt]
This tale begins as a Mel/Janice story set in 1953 with the archeologist now leading a small army of fierce...baseball players ;-) After a short, delightfully domestic interlude with Janice and the Carolinian Princess, however, the tale goes back in time to recount Xena and Gabrielle's fist time together - an event which the warrior does not seem to remember but the bard remembers all too well! Complete with lots of hilarious guilty thoughts, misunderstandings, lots of love and lust, this is entertaining and FUN! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 13 pgs., 5/9/98

**WAYS TO BE WICKED by Vivan Darkbloom -- [Alt]
Vivan returns with an uber sequel to her memorable at LOVE AND DEATH IN THE TRAILER PARK which is even MORE warped than that first offering - and just as delightful! This time around Gabrielle is happily settled down with her sexy firefighter Zina, enjoying that junk food and even going to college but theirs is a lifestyle not everyone approves off and which makes them targets for the homophobes at Ares Ministries, Inc. Put that tongue FIRMLY in your cheek as you begin to read this and then prepare for some serious attacks on your funny bone in what has developed into the best tribute to popular culture since Nene's now classic MYTH SERIES. Wonderfully original and VERY cleverly written, WAYS TO BE WICKED is a truly FUN read folks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [See also the sequel MAYONNAISE AND ITS DISCONTENTS] - 15 pgs., 5/27/98
