TALE OF TWO MOTHERS (A) by Brigid Doyle

these through the eyes of a stranger and gaining an understanding
into the unbreakable bond that is now so much a part of them. An
original approach with a nice perspective on the Xena/Gab friendship. -

**TEST OF FRIENDSHIP (A)
by Maureen McGowan
Marueen McGowan consistently delivers some of the finest XWP fan fiction

having to deal with an injured Xena suffering from amnesia who is suddenly
once again the deadly warlord of old with no memory of the past two years -
a one-time friend and hero who will effect on the bard the greatest of
betrayals. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 16 pgs., 4/97

THINGS OF YOUTH (THE) by Brigid Doyle
Very cute story that has Xena and Gab joining forces with Hercules and Iolus in an effort to do some damage control for another of Salmoneous dinar-making schemes. Soon though, they find themselves facing another liiiiiiitle problem - an enchantment that literaly shaves YEARS of their lives ;-) - 31 pgs., 3/97

THINGS THAT WE BELIEVE IN
by Ed
Set four years before the episode WARRIOR PRINCESS which introduced the character of Xena, this story looks at a time in the warrior's life when despite the violence surrounding her she found solace in the love of a devoted lieutenant - a warrior by the name of Petricles. Together the two start thinking about a future together but others have different plans for the Warrior Princess. This is well-written and offers an interesting interpretation of the relationship between Xena and Petricles during her years as a warlord. - 4 pgs., 11/29/97

This bard is on a roll! In yet another great new story Gabby suddenly finds herself the recepient of three wishes - a gift from the goddess Artemis as a reward for her pure heart. THREE'S A CROWD by Titanium and Awatcher
Celebrating the themes of friendship and family, this story has the god Hermes deciding that he wants to do a favor for Xena so he returns to her what she once lost long ago - never suspecting it will result in her paying a dear price in the present. - 21 pgs., 8/7/97

**TIME CHANGES by Wishes
Heart-wrenching "what if" tale by one of the best bards in the Xenaverse which has the gods entering into a conspiracy that changes the timeline, creating a world in which the warlord Xena never reformed and Gabrielle was indeed forced into slavery on that long-ago day when her village was attacked by Draco's men. The Warrior Princess and would-be bard are reunited in this world but under very different circumstances...as master and slave. This is an EXCEPTIONAL warlord/slave tale by a truly exceptional writer. It gets my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!- 19 pgs., 4/23/97

TIME SLIP by Bel-wah
Spooky little tale set in a dark forest that has the Warrior Princess and bard meeting a young woman desperate to see the love of her life and being kept from him by something very determined... and very inhuman. Good story for one of those rainy evenings ;-) - 10 pgs., 11/2/98

TIME TO KILL by Sarah Mangene
This is the *PERFECT* story to read during Halloween month! Prepare for chills galore as Xena and the Gabster arrive at a mysterious abandoned castle where they have been summoned to a meeting with Hercules and Iolus. With the two men still not expected for a few days, the warrior and bard decide to wait in the castle never suspecting the evil they are about to uncover. Well-written and CREEPY! Make sure to read this with most of the lights turned off, preferably on some rainy night when you're ALL by your lonesome! BWAHAHAHAHHA!!! >:) - 34 pgs., 10/8/97

TIMES by Brant Forseng
This is a wild Callisto crossover tale for those of you XWP/X-File fans. In present day Savannah, Georgia gang members break into the Covington Institute for the Preservation and Study of the Xena Scrolls. Their intent - to steal some of the artifacts and sell them to the fanatical fans of a new TV series based on the ancient warrior mentioned in the Xena Scrolls. The gang members never suspect that they will soon meet another warrior from that ancient time - a blonde warlord with a bloodlust greater than their own who will make them feel VERY sorry they ever decided to visit the Covington Institute. The next day, agents Mulder and Scully travel to the South to investigate the bloody murders in Savannah and try to find out exactly what is a "Callisto"...This story is just plain FUN! [unfinished] - 130 pgs., 5/11/97

This vignette follows Xena's decent back into darkness after the events in the episode MATERNAL INSTINCTS. - 2 pgs., 3/2/98

TO SLAY DRAGONS by Raistlyn
Xena and Gabrielle get some help from a couple of old friends as they fight to try to keep Poteidaia from being destroyed by warring armies. Good action and nice characterizations in an entertaining story which reads very much like a season 1 or 2 episode. - 21 pgs., 4/18/98
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Chamber/7473/toslaydragons.html
TO SLEEP, PERCHANCE TO
DREAM by Palomine
Poignant tale that has Gabrielle trying to deal with a Xena who is depressed and suffering from some very bad nightmares. The bard doesn't quite know what the nightmares are about until the two encounter a figure from Xena's past - a young man who the Warrior Princess once tried to help because he reminded her of Lyceus - a young man who repaid his commander by betraying her in one of the worst moments of Xena's life. Palomine tends to write stories that could easily be made into TV episodes. This is one of them. A very nice read. - 20 pgs., 7/13/97
http://xenafan.com/fiction/content/tosleep.html
**TOGETHERNESS by Lawlsfan
Reading like a shorter version of the episode A DAY IN THE LIFE, this delightful chronicle of the warrior and bard's daily activities concentrates on the interactions we don't usually get to see in the TV series...or most fanfic for that matter ;-) Recalling the words "for better or for worse", this story shows two friends who know one another VERY well...and love each other anyway :) Huge grin alert throughout this one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 4 pgs., 4/13/00

TOSS OF A COIN (THE) by Quatre
Chilling new offering set in the days of Xena the Warlord that has the Warrior Princess planning her next offensive when an old seer warns her about the fateful choice she's about to make and the two lives that will be forever changed as a result. Well-written story with a poignant feel to it. - 9 pgs., 1/21/00

TRANSITIONS by MacavityCat and XeniteOne
Intriguing story set after the episode A NECESSARY EVIL which has Gabrielle troubled by horrifying nightmares - nightmares which seem strangely familiar to Xena... The authors do a nice job of building the mystery in this emotional tale. - 18 pgs., 3/15/98
http://members.tripod.com/~MacavityCat/Transitions-1.html
TRIAL OF XENA (THE) by Ogami
Very much a statement on the third season, this newest tale by Ogami is set immediately after THE BITTER SUITE and has Xena dealing with something she has yet to deal with in the TV series - the consequences of her actions. It begins as the warrior and bard wake up on the beach, both alive and healthy, only as Xena watches in horror the injuries she inflicted on her partner suddenly return just as some VERY angry Amazons appear on the scene determined to protect their young queen... and determined to see that justice is done. With some poignant moments and some clever twists certain to delight some of the fans out there, this one carries a heck of a punch. DO NOT MISS! -31 pgs., 5/16/98

TRIAL OF XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS (THE) by Onora
Thought-provoking new story that has Xena and Gabrielle spending time with Hercules and Iolus when Athenian soldiers arrive to at last bring the Warrior Princess to justice. It is a development that will test Xena's commitment to justice even as it tests her friends' desperate need to protect her. A gripping story with a very moving depiction of the Xena/Gab relationship and a well-developed supporting cast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [unfinished] - 9/3/97.

TRICKED by RaXenaWP
A stirring, emotional vignette marking the end of a very troubled soul who once having been victimized by hatred and evil surrendered herself to those very things. These are the last thoughts of Xena's most determined enemy and most tragic creation... DO NOT MISS! A MUST READ in particular for Callisto fans. - 2 pgs., 5/23/98

TRUST FUND by Maggie
Maggie's latest has Xena and the Gabster traveling to meet a friend of the bard's who needs Gabrielle's help in translating some newly discovered scrolls. Excited about the project, Gabrielle nevertheless remains nervous about her companion's over-protective nature prompting Xena to try to keep under control the warning bells going off in her head over the entire situation. This is a story about trust which like all of Maggie's works to date is also deeply rooted in the friendship between warrior and bard. Long and very nice. - 138 pgs.,10/18/97

[Palm Pilot version available at XENA FAN FICTION FOR THE PALM PILOT]
TWILIGHT by Joseph Anderson
Painting the twilight of the gods in a startlingly somber new light, this tale finds Xena, Gabrielle and Eve enjoying a day at the market when they recognize a familiar face under the ragged clothes of a wretched beggar. A story full of pathos about lost glories, inevitable change and the welcomed mercy of compassion. Grab a kleenex before this one. - 3 pgs.

TWILIGHT TALES by Raistlyn
TWILIGHT THOUGTS by Scarabae
Set during those final moments in the episode SACRIFICE II, this is a look into the minds and hearts of Xena, Gabrielle and Callisto. An insightful, fitting tribute to the three women whose lives fashioned the first three seasons of this series. - 6/5/98, re-released 2/9/00

TWILIGHT'S PROMISE by Raistlyn
A sequel to IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR which tells the story from Gabrielle's perspective as she remembers the last time she saw the Warrior Princess some three thousand years before and thinks about all the centuries she's spent searching for her since. An emotional read with a sense of renewed hope. DO NOT MISS! [See the sequel
TWILIGHT'S SHADOW] - 5 pgs., 9/5/98

TWILIGHT'S SHADOW by Raistlyn
The sequel to TWILIGHT'S PROMISE, this is a touching little story which follows the thoughts of two very old friends as they prepare for a reunion two millenniums in the making. - 2 pgs., 10/5/98
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Chamber/7473/twilightsshadow.html
TWO HEARTS, ONE SOUL by Silk
The third entry in Silk's TALES FROM THE BARD SERIES, this latest story is set at the beginning of THE QUEST and has a distraught Gabrielle telling her dead partner the moving tale of how a god's cruelty once created soulmates, dooming these to suffer the ache of separation unless reunited by fate. Like the others in the series, this newest entry cleverly incorporates fiction with mythology while spotlighting the bard's storytelling skills. Nicely written. - 6 pgs., 7/16/98.

**TWO SOULS by Bracer
A deeply emotional, moving story set immediately after the events in SACRIFICE II which follows a destitute Xena as she tries to come to terms with the loss of her bard and also lays to rest an old enemy. All the while, Gabrielle finds herself in a very different existence, learning about how gods and destiny have mingled her life and that of the warrior's in a conflict as old as time. Bracer does an outstanding job of exploring many of the issues touched upon in season three. In having the characters face these issues head on, the tale feels real and very satisfying. Featuring THE most moving and most poignant farewell to Callisto I have yet to see in either fanfic or the TV series, this is also a startingly poignant tale guaranteed to pull on those heart strings. A great read! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 23 pgs., 7/27/98
