This EXCELLENT story was one of the entries in the first NetForum contest. Gabrielle is transported back to a time before the destruction of Cirra, Callisto's hometown, to try to save the village and change the course of events that led to the creation of the blonde warlord. In order to do so, however, the bard needs to somehow reach Xena's soul - only in that other time the Xena she faces is the Warrior Princess of old - a ruthless warlord with little time for bards on missions of peace. - 6/25/97

Unusual warlord/slave tale that has Xena and Gabrielle just beginning to explore an exiting new facet to their relationship when an old friend of the warrior's asks for their help in setting up an elaborate ruse to fool a deadly warlord. T. Novan includes an interesting twist in this story with warrior and bard assuming the roles of warlord and slave but...switching those depending on the circumstances. Well-written, passionate story. - 71 pgs., 11/19/98

Fated to go into many a readers' "guilty pleasures" file, this little comedy is to say the least - WICKED! - and yes the capital letters are there for a reason ;-) It's just another day for warrior and bard as they help a group of villagers fight a vicious warlord - only it's been a while since they've had some quality time together and things are getting just a tad...frustrating. Then on a successful raid of the warlord's castle while the inspired villagers seek justice, the two are rewarded with just the perfect mother load to relieve all that stress ;-) MAKE SURE to read the disclaimers as this offering will not be for everyone! "Kinky" *is* the operative word but a big old grin will likely be the result. - 14 pgs., 12/1/98
