THURSDAY FAN FICTION REPORT - 12/3/98
[Previous report was for 12/1/98]

Hi all,

I've added some excellent new resources to the BARD'S REFERENCE LIBRARY. Included in the collection now are links to the following:

ANCIENT CLOTHING
A glossary of clothing terminology along with hundreds of illustrations of ancient costumes.

ARMAMENTARIVM
A very comprehensive reference source on Roman arms and armor.

THE COSTUME PAGE by Julie Zetterberg
Very comprehensive site featuring a wealth of historical information on clothing, armor and accessories used through the ages, ethnic and folk costumes, and theatrical costumes as well as links to hundreds of sites featuring detailed information on the construction of these costumes.

THE COSTUME SITE by Lauren Podolak/Milieux
An extraordinary collection of links to Web sites containing information on historical costumes, clothing and armor used through the ages as well as costumes used in film, theater and TV.

DIOTIMA: MATERIALS FOR THE STUDY OF WOMEN AND GENDER IN THE ANCIENT WORLD by Ross Scaife and Suzanne Bonefas
A resource for the study gender around the ancient Mediterranean, the site includes links to many on-line articles, book reviews, databases, and images as well as a searchable bibliography.

MANY THANKS to bard extraordinaires Ella Quince and the fine folks at Pink Rabbit Productions for suggesting these additions. The library's FANFIC ART and REVIEWS sections have also been updated to include recent additions to the Web in those areas. If you're a bard doing research for that upcoming fanfic story or simply curious about some of the history we see in XWP and read about in the fanfic make sure to stop by and check out the new resources at: https://lunacyreviews.ausxip.com/reference.htm

Good news for my fellow fanfic addicts tonight - one of our most talented bards has resurfaced with a new Web site, new story AND new name! :) Formerly known as Nene, Nene Adams now has a site with her partner called CORRIEWEB. The main site is at: http://members.xoom.com/CFKuipers/home/titlepage.htm

NENE'S LIVING LIBRARY featuring her fiction is at: http://members.xoom.com/CFKuipers/home/library.htm

You'll find both the SUNNE and GASLIGHT uber series there as well other fiction by Nene.

I've added some new names to the BETA READER'S DIRECTORY recently so bards, if you're in need of beta readers check it out at https://lunacyreviews.ausxip.com/beta.htm

A reminder to those bards who are currently posting or have posted in the past fanfic on the NetForum, the various mailing lists or any other discussion forum out there - these are NOT permanent archives for fanfic. The NetForum only keeps postings for a few months so any fiction you post there WILL disappear from the Web in a matter of months - possibly sooner in light of the changes the NetForum will supposedly be undergoing in the upcoming weeks. As far as mailing lists are concerned - some of these do maintain archives of past postings but trying to find specific fiction in those is almost impossible - SOOOOO guys PLEASE consider posting your fiction at one of the permanent fanfic sites. There are hundreds of sites now available, many of which are always actively soliciting fiction. For a list of the fanfic sites check any of these lists at the three fanfic indexes:
