THURSDAY FAN FICTION REPORT - 12/4/97
[Previous report was for 12/2/97]
Hi guys,
For those Spanish speakers among us, the Spanish Web site LITERATURA DE FICCION now includes a new feature where they will be debating various issues involving XWP. The topic being debated this month is the pros and cons of XWP alternative fan fiction. The fan fiction page is located at http://www.la-concha.com/xena/ficcion.htm
Tonight we have new ones from two fan fic favorites.
GENERAL FICTION:
THE SILVER FOX by Maggie
Set after the events in the episode DEBT II - BETRAYAL, this long, gripping story follows the warrior and bard as they try to find their way back to one another from the desolation they have both been left in by recent events. Feeling lost and in need of healing they travel to Amazonia where they at last will have to face their feelings or risk loosing one another forever. This is a deeply emotional piece firmly rooted in the strength of the Xena/Gabrielle friendship. It offers an interesting perspective on the rift we are now seeing in the third season - exploring some of the feelings
these two women are likely to experience. Well done.

GAMES by WordWarior
This is an absolute MUST READ for ever Xenite out there!! A story in the grand tradition of that classic of episodes A DAY IN THE LIFE. The tale finds our two heroines playing "games" to pass the time as they unsuccessfully try to stay dry in the middle of a heavy downpour. Stuck with a mysteriously smelly blanket, Xena agrees to play another of
the Gabster's "creative" games in hopes of exchanging blankets. It is a decision she will live to regret as things go from bad to worse for the poor warrior. Wordee's characterizations of Xena and Gabrielle are dead on and simply beyond compare. This is GUARANTEED to make you forget all rifty thoughts and put a big ol' grin on your face. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
