GENERAL FICTION:

SLOW POISON by Becky Lutzke
Chapter two of this story is now available. This talented bard returns with a VERY promising new hurt/comfort story. It begins with a shadowy figure stalking Gabrielle who is telling stories at an inn while Xena is away on a mission. By the time the Warrior Princess gets back, Gabrielle is nursing an injury that doesn't seem to be healing. In this latest chapter Xena becomes increasingly concerned about the threat to the bard. Still unfinished, this is well-written and suspenseful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

ALTERNATIVE FICTION:

RESOLUTION by Perager
Chapter 6 of this story is now available. This is a VERY timely new story set after the events in DEBT II - THE BETRAYAL which has Xena and Gabrielle once again facing the dangers of life on the road as they make their way back from China. Adding to Xena's worries is the emotional stress the bard seems to be in - a stress reflected in constant nightmares and fatigue. Before they can try to deal with those, however, the two friends find themselves in the middle of dangerous situation as they try to help a town Xena once raided defend itself from another warlord. Perager does a skillful job of capturing the characters of Xena and Gabrielle as the two struggle with the challenges their friendship is now facing while never forgetting the love that binds them together. This tale is still unfinished but already gets from me a HIGHLY RECOMMEDED!! Note: This story is not explicit.

AND FAIR TRUTH by de Bonheur
Chapters 19-25 of this story are now available. This is the sequel to de Bonheur's excellent LONG IS THE WAY SERIES. As the story begins Xena and Gabrielle are with the Amazons, happy at last while they make preparations for their joining ceremony. It is a ceremony that will only make official the love and commitment the two already share but not everyone is anxious to see them happy. Some in fact, want only to destroy their happiness... In these latest chapters the search is on for the Warrior Princess. For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby, depicting them as more than just friends.
