MONDAY FAN FICTION REPORT - 3/16/98

Hi folks,

I've been getting inquiries from people lately asking whether it is possible to get the fanfic reports e-mailed directly to them. Just wanted to let you all know that IT IS. I'm currently posting the reports on the Xenaverse and XCG lists as well as on the NetForum. They go on the Lunacy site (address at the bottom of this report) usually within a day or two of their release. If you would like the reports e-mailed DIRECTLY to you though just drop me a line. You can reply to this post if you are on one of the lists or just send a message to lunacy@dc.seflin.org.

Set after the events of this season's rift episodes, this little tale seems strangely appropriate. It has Hercules and Iolus traveling to meet with their friends Xena and the bard, only when they reach them things seem somewhat... different. Solid writing in a crossover storyline guaranteed to leave a permanent...impression. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

A *truly* precious new story set after the episode FORGIVEN which has Xena and Gabrielle once again coming across that determined warrior-wannabe Tara who once again desperately needs their help, this time to try to get rid of a little blonde terror determined to be her...sidekick :) Hysterical! THE WARRIOR AND THE BARD - TRIBUTE by Maven
Part one of the ALPHA/OMEGA TRILOGY this is a very unique, clever new story that relies on a shifting point-of-view technique to draw some rather charming characterizations of our XWP favorites. As the story begins the warrior and bard are admitting some hidden truths to one another - truths that lead them to make some important decisions once they arrive in Amazonia. Set fifteen years after the warrior and bard first meet, the story has them leading a life together as innkeepers when they receive a visit from a mysterious stranger - a stranger with a very tempting offer... SUMMER STORM by de Bonheur
This new tale from de Bonheur is an absolute gem, chronicling a day of passionate frolicking at the beach between warrior and bard. Reading like poetry in parts, this is sensual and terribly romantic. It is a follow-up to de Bonheur's earlier work AND FAIR TRUTH. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby, depicting them as more than just friends.
