BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, REVISITED by Catherine M. Wilson
One of our veteran bards returns with a wonderful new story that reveals what we didn't see during the episode BEEN THERE, DONE THAT as the repeating day has some very unexpected consequences for Xena, affording her the opportunity to at last learn the truth about the bard's feelings for her but leaving her with a guilty conscience and some unforseen regrets in the process. Catherine does a really nice job here outlining Xena's feelings and thoughts as the warrior struggles to deal with emotions she has little experience with. Though more subtly drawn, Gabrielle's characterization is also well-crafted showing an underlying consistency in her own feelings for her partner despite the different circumstances we see her in. A terrific read, this one comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 17 pgs.

LONGING AND BELONGING by T. Novan
Written from Gabrielle's perspective, this latest chapter in the RAISING MELOSA SERIES is sweet and poignant all at once as the bard enjoys her beautiful family and most especially her beautiful warrior but finds herself wishing she could recapture those memories of precious moments from the past. A perfect addition to this remarkable series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 5 pgs.

A LITTLE PIECE OF PARADISE by Midgit
Part three is now available. Promising new uber tale set in modern day Bath, England which has real estate agent Eden Gallagher getting a very welcomed assignment when a stunning brunette walks into her office looking for a place to rent. Intrigued by the lovely stranger and encouraged by her roommate, Eden decides to try her luck with Victoria Conrad never suspecting that a friend is precisely what her mysterious client might need. In this latest part, the two women lay it on the table as it where ;-) Nice writing and the beginnings of an intriguing scenario in this one. [unfinished] - 3 pgs.

DARK COMES THE MORNING by Melissa Good
Part two is now available. Here we go again folks on another spectacular ride into what is undoubtedly the most-loved vision of Xena and Gabrielle in this fandom as Missy picks up the story of the warrior and bard almost a year after the events in CIRCLE OF LIFE. Enjoying the new addition to their family, Xena and Gabrielle are happy seeing their daughter grow and spending time with friends and family but there's a restlessness stirring within them also as the bard finds herself craving those quiet times she used to spend with the warrior on the road, and Xena works to keep her active mind challenged. It's a restlessness that soon finds an outlet when refugees begin to arrive in Amphipolis from neighboring areas prompting Xena and her partner to go do a little investigating in a decision that will herald the return of a terrible darkness into their lives. There's a level of understanding, love and devotion in Missy's versions of these characters that adds a terrific sense of warmth and intimacy to their every interaction. Already in part one this story presents a captivating combination of gentle humor, poignant drama and suspenseful intrigue certain to intensify in the chapters ahead under the guidance of this master storyteller.
