BLOOD AND HONOR by Kaiser
A story in the tradition of the episode THE PRICE which has Xena and Gabrielle at odds when the Warrior Princess is forced into a ruthless encounter with a warlord whose henchman also happens to be...an old friend. Well written with solid characterizations and a nicely crafted storyline.

GODDESS OF BATTLE by Shadowhawke
Chapter five of this story is now available. This is a promising story that begins on a stormy night with the birth of a child whose destiny is linked to the gods. Many years later, immortal eyes watch as enemies prepare to clash with the warrior that child turned into. In this latest installment an anguished Xena realizes Gabrielle is in trouble.

WHAT THE HAND DARE SEIZE THE FIRE? by Cheaza
Taking some liberties with the events depicted in the episode REMEMBER NOTHING, this story exudes raw emotion as it chronicles Gabrielle's thoughts in the hours following her escape from slavery. The Gabrielle depicted here is a young woman scarred both physically and emotionally, who desperately wants to believe in the golden savior of her dreams but is too terrified to accept the love being offered by the incarnation of that savior. Deeply poignant this is a MUST READ for anyone who was touched by the story told in REMEMBER NOTHING.

WHEN THE STARS THREW DOWN THEIR SPEARS by Cheaza
Cheaza's second offering tonight is a sentimental first-time story set during the early days of the Xena/Gab friendship that paints a very innocent, trusting picture of the bard and a rather vulnerable, uncertain one of the Warrior Princess. The combination gives way to a very emotional story in which neither can deny the feelings they share any longer. Lots of angst in an engrossing read.

A sequel to Watcher's uber-Xena story INTIMATE STRANGERS (available at http://xwp-altfic.simplenet.com/fiction.html) which has the ex-FBI agent Casey Bennett in a desperate race against time to try to save her beloved Beth from an enemy vent on revenge. A suspenseful read which will remind you in parts of the movie SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and the TV series PROFILER.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.
