DARK PROMISE by Katrina and Sharon Bowers
Part 20 is now available. This latest entry in Katrina's BLOOD AND ROSES SERIES is developing into one wild, fun ride. A crossover tale featuring the characters from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, this story has Buffy getting quite a surprise when she meets Willow's aunts who aside from having the same names as a couple of popular TV characters, also keep setting off the slayer's hypersensitive senses. In this latest chapter, in an effort to convince Buffy of the need for her to learn sword fighting, Xena and Gabrielle tell the gang from Sunnydale about the dangerous Twilight realm. Katrina and Sharon's characterizations are on the money and will delight fans of both series although this is entertaining even if you only watch one of them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Part 9 is now available. The sixth installment in Jules already classic NANO SERIES finds Grace and her nano tech back home and busy at work while they continue building a life together. It's a life already full of both domestic and professional challenges as Doc seeks the help of a professional in trying to understand the darkness within her and both struggle to fulfill the promise of the technology they're working on. This latest part has Dana and Grace joining their partner in crime Rachel in...well...another crime ;-) Jules has achieved an easiness in her depiction of these characters and the relationship they share that continues to make her stories a rare treat. Exceedingly well-written, this new story offers the same mixture of humor, passionate romance and heartwarming emotions that have put Jules Mills among the creme-della-creme of XWP fanfic talents writing today. A new bard makes her debut in VOYAGER fanfic with a delightful Janeway/Seven first time story that has a rather straightforward Borg taking the initiative, and a supportive Voyager crew urging her on, when she senses that the captain has been showing more than just a passing interest. Diana offers charming characterizations, lots of hilarious exchanges and some nicely pasionate moments in a very entertaining read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 12 pgs.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.
