A delightful new story that has Gabrielle telling the tale of how a little boy saves the forest creatures. This is well-written with an exiting, simple story that seems particularly suited for young children. [For ages 12 and under]

RAIN by TrueGrits
A very sweet, romantic piece from a new writer that has Xena and Gabrielle stranded at an inn by bad weather. Noticing her warrior's darkening mood, Gabrielle then sets out to try to lighten it a bit. Showing great promise, TrueGrits delivers a nicely written story with good characterizations. DO NOT MISS!

WHAT HAPPENS NOW? by Katelin B.
Book II in Katelin's DEATH OF A NATION series, this new offering begins immediately after the event's in Book I: TO RESCUE A FRIEND. With Xena and Ephiny critically injured, Gabrielle and a small force of Amazons and Centaurs head for Poteidaia in hopes of finding help there but the days ahead will be a challenge for the young Amazon Queen as she has to deal with a disapproving family and the seriousness of her warrior's condition. Katelin presents us with an emotionally gripping premise that revolves around the relationships between her characters, all of whom are solidly depicted. Still unfinished, this latest book comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Poignant piece that has Gabrielle looking for her warrior as she remembers times gone by at Xena's side. Kleenex alert.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby, depicting them as more than just friends.
