CHALICE OF BLOOD (THE) by S. Singer
Part two of this story is now available. A sequel to Singer's CAUSE AND EFFECT, this new tale has Xena trying to teach Gabrielle about the meditation techniques she learned from her old teacher, The Master, when another old friend comes to request their help in finding the fabled Chalice of Blood capable of giving whosoever drinks from it unimaginable power. In this latest part Xena and Gabrielle prepare for the quest they will soon undertake. Nice depiction of the Xena/Gab relationship in a still-unfinished, promising story.

Parts 2-3 of this story are now available. This new warlord/slave story promises to be one wild ride! It begins with Xena and Gabrielle on their way to Crete, but it is a journey neither will complete as a vengeful God of War puts into play an evil plan to forever separate the two lovers. In these new parts Gabrielle has to try to save the Amazon Nation from a Warrior Princess vent on conquest. Featuring a very passionate, loving interpretation of the Xena/Gab relationship, this story is riveting and suspenseful as it setups one of the greatest challenges their love will ever face. Chapter 6 of this story are now available. Silk's first ever uber-Xena story, set in Celtic Ireland, has a bittersweet, poignant flavor to it as it chronicles the haunted memories of Kerry inion Fionnbharr, a beautiful warrior with flowing dark hair and crisp blue eyes whose thoughts will forever return to the tragic day in her youth when her life was forever changed. In this latest chapter we learn more about Kerry's past. Silk does a wonderful job using description and dialogue to give her story a true Celtic atmosphere. This is one with great potential folks. Chapter 14 of this story is now available. Teenagers are disappearing from the streets of Chicago, casualties of a dark subculture based on drugs, sex and rock and roll. Assigned to investigate is Mariel Potidean, a brilliant young FBI agent who soon finds herself teamed with a rather irritating partner - an ex-cop by the name of Tina Amphipoli with a dangerous reputation, a mysterious past and electric blue eyes. In this latest chapter we learn more about Tina's past. L.N.'s newest delivers an engaging premise with two very strong characters and lots of potential for suspense, drama and romance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [Note: Story features rough language]

WHAT HAPPENS NOW? by Katelin B.
Part 2 of this story is now available. Book II in Katelin's DEATH OF A NATION series, this latest offering begins immediately after the event's in Book I: TO RESCUE A FRIEND. With Xena and Ephiny critically injured, Gabrielle and a small force of Amazons and Centaurs head for Poteidaia in hopes of finding help there but the days ahead will be a challenge for the young Amazon Queen as she has to deal with a disapproving family and the seriousness of her warrior's condition. In this latest part the wounded nurse their wounds as all await further news on Xena's condition. Katelin presents us with an emotionally gripping premise that revolves around the relationships between her characters, all of whom are solidly depicted. Still unfinished, this latest book comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

LEAP OF FAITH by Missy Good
Part three of this story is now being posted. So consistent she'd probably never make it as a character in a third season episode of XWP, Missy returns with the beginnings of what promises to be another exceptional XWP novel. Set about a month after the events in DARKNESS FALLS, the story begins with the warrior and bard recovering nicely from their recent ordeals, rejoicing in the healing their relationship is experiencing. The sense of things in fact returning back to normal becomes even more pronounce when they visit Poteidaia and once again find people in need of their help, people looking to the Warrior Princess when no other hope remains. Unbeknownst to them, trouble is stirring in other parts too, as danger envelops a dear friend. In this latest section, a bard finds trouble...willingly this time ;-). Featuring exceptional writing, masterful storytelling, Missy's endearing sense of humor, and one of the most beloved depictions of the Xena/Gab relationship in fanfic this is another treat for us all guys. A MUST READ that receives my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.
