Hi guys,

Some housekeeping tonight - I've added some new names to the BETA READERS DIRECTORY so bards if you're looking for Xenites to read your fiction and give you feedback do check out the directory at https://lunacyreviews.ausxip.com/index.html There's also information there on how to get listed in the directory for any of you readers out there who would like to offer your services as a beta reader.

...AND BEYOND by Silk
Chapters 7-8 of this story are now available. Silk's first ever uber-Xena story, set in Celtic Ireland, has a bittersweet, poignant flavor to it as it chronicles the haunted memories of Kerry inion Fionnbharr, a beautiful warrior with flowing dark hair and crisp blue eyes whose thoughts will forever return to the tragic day in her youth when her life was forever changed. In these latest chapters Gwynne dreams of a dark warrior with a tortured soul. Silk does a wonderful job using description and dialogue to give her story a true Celtic atmosphere. This is one with great potential folks. DO NOT MISS!

THE SECRETS OF THE HOARY DEEP by de Bonheur
Chapters 14-15 of this tale are now available. This FANTASTIC follow up to de Bonheur's AND FAIR TRUTH is an uber-Xena story set in post-WWI France where a young aristocrat named Michelle Destin finds herself in the middle of an intriguing mystery involving a very old painting...and the enigmatic woman that soon comes into her life. Meanwhile, in Elysia a certain warrior and bard enjoy the happiness they earned long ago, thinking of the life they made together, but wanting also to help the living children of their blood find that happiness. In these latest chapters Xena and Gabrielle watch as their descendants grow ever closer. Still unfinished, this story is sensual and romantic and emotional and beautiful. De Bonheur does an excellent job presenting the aristocratic element of post-WWI Parisian society while the Xena/Gab relationship, as in her previous stories, is depicted with great care, great passion and great tenderness. Still unfinished this story is already a fine read. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

THE DANGEROUS TRUTH by Curiositee
Chapter 10 is now available. Set in the present day, this FANTASTIC new uber-Xena story gets off to a rousing start as it follows a gutsy young reporter named Bridget Stone on a fateful excursion into the Chicago slums. In search of a lead, she'll find more than she ever bargained for when an assassin tries to end her investigation and a mysterious stranger interferes, one of the many homeless that frequent the slums, only in the blue depths of that stranger's eyes Bridget will sense a connection as old as time. Soon enough the reporter finds herself with two mysteries on her hands as she considers who may be trying to kill her while trying to solve the puzzle that is the woman who saved her...a woman whose tortured past holds secrets only Bridget may be able to uncover. In this latest chapter an important clue is revealed. Terrific characterizations make the reporter and her indigent savior immediately endearing. Combining suspense, mystery and a sense of pathos this wonderfully written tale is going to leave you anxiously awaiting that next chapter. A great uber drama in the making folks. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY by Paul Seely and Jennifer Garza
Part 9 of this story is now available. This is the highly anticipated sequel to one of the best uber-Xena stories available on the Net, SURFACING which already looks like it's going to rival Paul and Jennifer's first story as one wildly exiting ride! Featuring one VERY deadly encounter between a trained killer and the men assigned to protect its quarry, the opening sequence is a gripping combination of suspense, action, intrigue and pathos - set in sharp contrast to the scenes which follow as we see Diana and Charlie enjoying domestic life. The months of tranquillity, however, have not affected the ex-agent's razor-sharp senses which soon enough are warning her that the peace she's been enjoying may just be coming to an end. In this latest chapter Charlie learns more about Diana's involvement in the Yoshima investigation years before. As in SURFACING, Paul and Jennifer do here an outstanding job of imbuing their writing with a very contemporary "feel". The relationship between Diana and Charlie is characterized by an easiness between them - a level of comfort that reveals their love even in the smallest of gestures. Excellent writing and excellent storytelling. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.
