SATURDAY FAN FICTION REPORT - 6/14/97

Two updates and a new story for you guys tonight. All are alternative offerings.

ALTERNATIVE FICTION:

ENDLESS ROAD (THE) by Themis
The conclusion of this sequel to Themis' A TWIST OF FATE is now available. Together at last, Xena and Gabby are delighted in their new-found happiness but find themselves realizing also that big adjustments will have to be made for their new relationship to work - adjustments which neither may be too comfortable with. In these final chapters, Xena gets an opportunity to see what her life could have been like without the bard while Gabrielle realizes that to love the warrior means to give her freedom, trusting in that love to always reunite them. PRICE OF SILENCE (THE) by Mary Draganis
Chapter 2 of this promising story is now available. Set after the events in A NECESSARY EVIL, the tale has Callisto coming back to torment Xena. Armed with deadly information about the Warrior Pricess, she sets out to exact a terrible vengeance. This story is not explicit so far. Previously reviewed 4/5/97.

BROKEN THREAD (THE) by Ella Quince
Beautifully poignant tale set on the eve of a bloody battle that has Xena preparing herself for the encounter when a mysterious stranger walks into camp - a stranger that looks like an older version of Gabrielle. To Xena's amazement, the stranger proceeds to tell her an unbelievable story about a warrior who left her love behind to go die in battle and the bard who then became a warrior herself in a desperate quest to alter the timeline. The stranger is certain that if that bard can stand beside her lover during the battle - two lives will be forever changed and two souls reunited. FANTASTIC tale sure to pull the old heartstrings!

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby, depicting them as more than just friends.
