MONDAY FAN FICTION REPORT - 6/15/98
[Previous report was for 6/14/98]

Hi guys,

One new one tonight along with the return to the Web of six older stories from Miss and Aisa. All alt.

ALTERNATIVE FICTION:

IN SICKNESS by Godot
An amusing new story which like all of Godot's fiction will soon have you thoroughly engaged in her very loving portrayal of the warrior and her bard. It's that relationship in fact which is challenged in this little tale when Gabrielle finds herself taking care of a sick, very cranky and exceedingly difficult Warrior Princess who just insists on testing her patience. Never one to give up easily, however, the bard takes up the challenge and soon is even surprising Xena with her zest to experiment with new healing techniques ;-) This is funny and tender and for some of you I'm sure it will be familiar too! As an added bonus it features some nice new graphics from Pink Rabbit Productions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

MISTAKEN IDENTITY by Aisa
Written back in 1997, this tale features yet another bitter reminder for Xena of what she once has - forcing her to deal with the repercussions from that violence as a former victim seeks revenge. Thoughtful story with a surprising twist.

FIRESIDE CHAT by Aisa
Another 1997 piece from Aisa, this one centering around a bad nightmare which motivates Xena and her bard to at last reveal the feelings they've been hiding. Heartwarming.

ARACHNE by Aisa
A well-written tale which combines fan fiction and actual mythology as Xena and Gabrielle meet a prideful young woman so certain of her skills as a weaver she dares to compare herself to the gods. Poignant story with good characterizations.

DRINKING GAMES by Miss
One of Miss' early stories, this short tale has a playful bard getting just a tad inebriated while the Warrior Princess is there to look after her.

NEW DIRECTIONS by Miss
Another of Miss's early efforts, this one a wonderfully romantic one that has the bard anxiously awaiting Xena's return from some secretive mission...only to discover there was a lot more to that mission than she suspected. DO NOT MISS!!

SWEET DREAMS by Miss
The third Miss story tonight, this one written back in early 1997, which has Gabrielle confused and anxious over the dreams she's been having lately about her traveling companion. Tender depiction of the relationship.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.

Happy reading!
