GENERAL FICTION:

TIMES by Brant Forseng
Chapter 14 of this WILD XWP/X-Files Callisto story is now available. This story just keeps getting better, more intriguing and more AMUSING with each chapter. The main premise has Callisto suddenly appearing in present day Savannah, Georgia, while Mulder and Scully are called in to investigate the bloody murders which quickly follow. Seeing the blond warlord react to 20th century conveniences is just PRICELESS!! In this latest chapter, the two agents realize that some dangerous people very much want to get their hands on Callisto so they decide to try to hide her. Much to their chagrin, while on a commercial flight with the blonde warlord, they run into an ARDENT fan of the actress Hudson Leick who just ASSUMES Callisto is the star on her way to a convention. You have GOT to read this to believe it!!

ALTERNATIVE FICTION:

LOVE NEVER FAILS by J. Covington
The first chapter of this follow-up to the JOINING trilogy (ARES' GAME, ESCAPADE, and SECRETS PAST) finds Xena trying to help an old friend fight the raiders threatening her land while Gabrielle, in also trying to help that friend, falls victim to an injury that may forever change both her life and that of the Warrior Princess. If the first three books by the writing team of M. Pappas and J. Covington are any indication, this new one should be an intriguing, fun, and emotional roller-coaster ride!

HER DEVOTED WARRIOR by N.L. Rockwell
Chapter 12 of this story is now available. The tale has Xena coming face to face with Chandra - a female warrior who once promised her soul and her sword in the service of the Warrior Princess and who's devotion to Xena sometimes borders on the psychotic. In this latest chapter, Xena and Gabrielle meet a former slave of Chandra's who brings back some painful memories for Xena too. Previously reviewed 5/24/97, 5/29/97.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabby, depicting them as more than just friends.
