DESTINY AT THE AMPHIPILI NURSING HOME by HikNboots
It never ceases to amaze me how creative our Xenite bards are getting with those uber tales. This latest one is a very original little story set in contemporary times that has Katy Hammonds trying to help her beloved grandma Mavis and the old woman's life-long partner Cass escape the abuse in a nursing home when a beautiful mechanic with startling blue eyes comes into their lives - a young woman with a surprising physical similarity to Cass and a spirit very much like that of the warrior woman Mavis has always told stories about. With some funny moments and a sentimental transition between generations, this is an enjoyable read. -- 9 pgs.

For those of you reading this post who are not familiar with the term alternative (alt.), it refers to ADULT stories that add a romantic element to the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle, depicting them as more than just friends.
