**YOU CAN'T JUDGE A SCROLL BY ITS CASE by Rooks
An absolutely OUTSTANDING new story from this very talented bard that you will not be able to put down! On their way to assist a village recovering from a vicious raid, Xena and Gabrielle unknowingly anger a god who takes his revenge by switching their bodies. It is a little development that could not have come at a worse time as they soon learn the Amazons have need of their queen. Deciding to pursue one another's obligations, the bard in Xena's body goes to help the villagers while the warrior now much shorter and less intimidating than usual, goes to the Amazons. Meanwhile, a series of events is unfolding that will bring other players into the picture as a sacred artifact is stolen, young hearts stir restlessly, and a couple of VERY inept bad guys device a plan to capture a certain Warrior Princess. This is a true comedy of errors that has everything - humor, adventure, suspense, romance and a number of chapter breaks that can only be described as hysterical! In addition to the main story, Rooks also includes a couple of subplots that will keep you just as captivated. The characterizations are solid, colorful and well-rounded in a long tale guaranteed to keep you entertained. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! - 169 pgs., 3/29/98

YOU MADE ME by Simahoyo
A fantastic Callisto story that will chill you to the bone even as it inspires sympathy for the blonde warlord. The author notes at the beginning of the tale that it is a story told by a madwoman. By the end you'll have no doubt about this, but perhaps some understanding also as to what it took to drive her there. This is the origins of Callisto - the burning of Cirrah, the hardships, horrors and disillusionments she experienced after that time, all the events which eventually stripped a young woman of her sanity leaving a killing machine with a demon as mentor and revenge as the single solitary goal in life. Excellent! A MUST in particular for Calli fans. - 18 pgs., 6/97

**YOU PLAY, YOU PAY by T. Novan
Part 73 of the RAISING MELOSA SERIES is one of the more playful entries in this ongoing saga as a the Amazon Queen enjoys the company of her younger and suddenly much friskier champion. Romantic, playful and tender this one comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 7 pgs., 9/17/99

**YOU'RE STILL THE ONE by T. Novan
The 21st entry in the RAISING MELOSA SERIES has a distraught Xena finding new hope when her injured bard regains consciousness from a recent accident - but with Gabrielle still far from a full recovery the warrior's greatest challenge lies ahead. An extremely devoted and touching depiction of the relationship makes this another MUST READ in the series. DO NOT MISS! - 5 pgs., 3/3/99

**YOU'VE GOT SCROLLS by Advocate, Fanatic and T. Novan
The warrior and bard get a taste of what millenniums later would become known as "life online" when Gabrielle decides to join a top secret Amazon bards scrolls list and soon finds herself dealing with an endless delivery of new scrolls, huge egos, flame wars, pettiness and a warrior intent on finding out just what is taking her bard away from more...entertaining pursuits. Penned by such an impressive triumvirate, this tale delivers two of the best characterizations of our two heroes I've read in a while with Gabrielle as the sweet bard you do NOT want mad at you and Xena as the barely-in-control lusty warrior you do NOT want to separate from her bard. With a...familiar feel to it despite the ancient setting, this is a comedic delight offering welcome relief from those heavier, grandiose themes the TV series keeps throwing our way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 46 pgs., 10/23/00
