**DOMESTICITY by Friend
Set after the episode IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE, this first-ever contribution from a talented new bard is the perfect story for those of us who tend to get nostalgic for those earlier Xena seasons. The story describes a quiet time in the lives of Xena and Gabrielle as the warrior, still anguished over how close she came to losing her young partner, insists on taking particularly good care of the bard - and Gabrielle, seeing the guilt and worry in Xena's gaze, tries to reassure her. All the while, the two are moving closer emotionally - Xena realizing just how deeply her feelings for the bard now run, and Gabrielle realizing that her traveling companion has become the only home she ever really wants. Nicely written, this story wonderfully captures those season one characterizations. A great feel-good tale. DO NOT MISS! - 13 pgs., 7/29/00

DON'T TOUCH THE AMAZON by T. Novan
Mel acts the part of disciplinarian and Xena does a little shopping while on a visit to a neighboring village. T. Novan continues to develop the character of Mel very nicely as the young woman becomes comfortable in her role as Amazon and warrior. Part 49 of the RAISING MELOSA SERIES. - 8 pgs., 6/26/99

DOUBLE TROUBLE by The Merpup Collective
The Merpups get creative in this mischiveous little tale that has the bard waking up to not one but TWO Warrior Princesses - the result of a misworded request to the goddess Artemis and a bit of meddling from another source. It's a situation that only gets more complicated when Aphrodite tries to help and those doubles start multiplying ;-) A fun story with a PRICELESS ending guaranteed to please anyone familiar with the writings of Missy Good. - 15 pgs., 7/18/99

DOWN TO THE DARKNESS by Mil Toro
Xena's dark side has and continues to be one of the qualities fans of the show and readers of the fan fiction find most frightening AND fascinating about the warrior. This new story explores not only Xena's darkness but also Gabrielle's attraction to it. Set after the events in the episode THE PRICE, this tale, in fact, captures the characterization we saw of Xena in that episode quite well. As the story unfolds, Xena is growing more and more troubled by the violent dreams she's been having concerning the bard she loves - dreams that recall a past the Warrior Princess desperately wants to forget but which she knows will remain a part of her forever. Meanwhile, Gabrielle struggles to understand, afraid she may be loosing the woman she loves and frustrated at not being allowed to express the depth of that love. This story is VERY well-written and intense. NOTE: Make sure to read the author's disclaimer concerning violence. [See also the sequel DARK BEAUTY] - 26 pgs., 6/97
