ONE KISS CHANGES EVERYTHING by Annmaray
Set immediately after the events in the episode FORGET ME NOT, this tale has Xena and the bard finally giving in to the feelings between them in a passionate journey of discovery too-long in coming. Romantic and sweet. - 7 pgs., 6/26/99

ONE LAST BREATH by JLynn
Set during the last moments of the episode IDES OF MARCH, this deeply sentimental story chronicles Xena's thoughts as she agonizes over her beloved soulmate's suffering and her own imminent death. Creating a countdown of sorts in her storytelling, JLynn's writing is effective and quite moving. DO NOT MISS! - 6 pgs., 3/11/01

ONE LAST THOUGHT by Ryan Dever
Fast-paced, action-packed short story that has the warrior and bard
fighting intolerance and growing ever closer in the process. Nice
characterizations. - 4 pgs., 7/23/98

ONE LAST WARLORD by Silk
Tender, romantic, heart-wrenching and ultimately reaffirming, this is a story about the later years of the Warrior Princess and her bard - the life they made together, the family they formed and a love so powerful it conquered all. Hankie alert on this one :) Very nice read. Note: This story is not explicit. - 8 pgs., 12/97

ONE NAKED GABRIELLE by TZ - see FRAGMENTS
**ONE NATION by Bracer
Acting as a follow-up to 1998's fanfic gem AS LONG AS THE EARTH ENDURES, this new contribution from Bracer picks up Xena and Gabrielle's story roughly after the episode SUCCESSION, thankfully ignoring the rest of season five as Bracer takes the characters in an entirely different direction. The story opens on a quiet moment as Gabrielle thinks about her partner and the welcomed changes their relationship has undergone. Too soon the moment of peace is gone as a messenger brings ill tidings from the warrior's home and miles away the Amazon Nation sends scouts in search of their wandering queen. In the weeks to come warrior and bard will look to one another for strength in dealing with the difficult challenges ahead, knowing at least one of those will bring a heartache they're powerless to stop. Bracer's treatment of the Xena/Gab relationship is incredibly endearing painting them not only as equal partners but also as partners who desperately need one another and are comfortable in that need. There's an emotional vulnerability to Xena here that stands in sharp contrast to her warrior persona and that makes her very human. Bracer is spinning an engrossing, well-paced, solidly written tale that should keep us nicely hooked in the weeks ahead. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! [unfinished] - 38 pgs., 8/6/00

ONE STORMY NIGHT by Lava-lamp
Stormy weather helps to loosen up some inhibitions for the warrior and bard ;-) Sweet. - 5 pgs., 5/5/99

**ONE THAT GOT AWAY (THE) by Bel-wah
Sensitively told, poignant tale that begins with a vacation of sorts for warrior and bard as Xena finds herself having too much fun by a favorite fishing spot to consider moving on any time soon. That happens to be fine with her partner who is dead set on catching a fish and doing it her way. Before long, however, the two have more than fishing to worry about when they find themselves with a visitor - a little runaway named Pip who's determined to honor his dead brother's memory by becoming a warrior just like him. For Xena the boy stirs both painful memories and an acute feeling of deja-vu, recalling the fair-head son she had so little time with and recalling also the anger of a young woman who long ago embraced darkness after the death of her brother. Bel-Wah paints a very likeable and deeply sympathetic picture of the Warrior Princess here as she struggles to save another from the mistakes that forever changed her. Complementing her, the bard is funny and supportive in a tale that is entertaining and ultimately very satisfying.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 16 pgs., 2/16/99

**ONE THREAD IN TIME by TZ
Another offering in TZ's A SACRIFICE FOR LOVE SERIES, this is a BEAUTIFUL little tale set some fifteen years after the end of season three which has Xena and Gabrielle receiving a very special gift from the Fates. A wonderful feel-good factor in this poignant, romantic MUST READ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 5 pgs., 7/20/98

**ONE WILD AND CRAZY KIWI by Danae
Lucy Lawless on Saturday Night Live! It will be interesting to compare Danae's version of things to what actually happens when the Lawless one invades SNL on 10/17. For my money the SNL writers should just take a week off and buy Danae's skits :) She has all the great ones here - Church Lady, Wayne and Garth a priceless appearance by "Oh Noooo" Mr. Bill and Rigid Xena and Poseable Gabrielle from THE INCREDIBLY TRUE ADVENTURES OF TWO DOLLS IN LOVE. Parodies by this gifted bard might just exercise that funny bone to exhaustion. A MUST READ! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - 9 pgs.,10/4/98

**ONLY ONE by Redhawk
This is a fantastic HIGHLANDER/XWP crossover story set in the modern world has the one-time Warrior Princess, now a deadly immortal, getting the shock of her life when she sees a familiar face lost to her centuries before. Rickie Gardner is a young runaway used to surviving amidst the danger and cruelty of the streets but when she witnesses a murder she becomes a target in a way she's never been before. Her one hope of survival now rests in a tall, dark stranger whose presence somehow calls to her and whose face she sees in dreams. Redhawk gives a poignancy and fire to the evolving romance in this story that makes it intriguing and beautiful and emotional all at once. The tale makes great use of flashbacks in much the same way the HIGHLANDER TV series used to. Suspenseful, action-packed and well-written, this is a MUST READ just as a XWP story but should be particularly entertaining for fans of both series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! [Note: The story features extreme violence including sexual violence and rough language. Please make sure to read the disclaimers. Also see the sequel OKTOBERFEST and the INFINITY SERIES for similar tales]] - 114 pgs., 5/24/98

ONLY TODAY REMAINS by Alan Plessinger
A nice little lovefest set after the rift that has Xena and Gabrielle agreeing to try to forget everything that has happened to them for one day and just assume they're meeting for the first time. Xena thinks the suggestion sounds like a childish game but soon it starts to all be worthwhile when she sees her beloved bard smiling again as she once did. Sweet. - 8 pgs., 10/4/98
